Review of Hotel June in Los Angeles

If you’re familiar with the LA area then this hotel is located where the old Custom hotel use to be. This new hotel is beautifully renovated and is in a fantastic location. It’s in walking distance of great restaurants like Cinco and is right next door to Ralph’s. So you have easy access to food & drinks. The hotel has an amazing restaurant inside but I was unable to try it due to it being closed because of COVID restrictions.

I visited here for a staycation during the New Years weekend. I felt very safe. There are hand sanitation stations in front of the elevator and front entrance. The elevator was always downstairs waiting for me. Only one guest or family went in at a time. There are 3 elevators. Check in was seamless and can be contactless if you download the Proper app prior to your arrival. My room had a sticker on it blocking the key hole to tell me that my room had been sanitized and no one had been in it sense then. The room smelled clean and was clean of course when I walked in. The bathroom shower was really nice and I loved the high end cruelty free toiletries by Aesop. The bed was comfortable enough but just basic bedding. I liked that there was a small little table in the room with a cute cactus and vibrant photos to add some character to the room.

As far as amenities go, most of theirs are closed at the moment. They have a beautiful pool and bar area “the caravan swim club” that I wish I could have experienced. They also have cute bikes for rent. You’ll have to valet your car for parking and the fee will be charged to your room. There is a gym on the 2nd floor that you can reserve to use for an hour. That was an awesome surprise! Just ask the person at the front desk for a reservation.

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Excellent customer service! I only rated the resort a 4 on TripAdvisor because although it was very comfortable and clean, I wouldn’t consider it to be a luxury hotel to my standard. I would want a cozier bed and a more spacious room to give it a 5. But again, that’s just personal preference based on other places I’ve stayed. I would stay at Hotel June again and looking forward to the restaurant and swim club re-opening. Check out my YouTube review below to see video footage of the hotel and my room.
